The Biology staff: focuses its research work on the following themes: fauna research in forest ecosystems; rare and endemic species of Romanian fauna; research of oligochaeta fauna from The Cris rivers basin; research on fish feeding, the effects of the geothermal waters radioactivity upon the plants and animals genotype; technical agricultural effects upon the microbiology of the soil; multiplication of cymbidium protocorms on different culture environments; multiplication "in vitro" of Chrysanthemum species; micropropagation "in vitro" of Dianthus species; the study of rizogene powders' influence upon the multiplication of carnations through cutting method.
